The Gaston County ARES net is held on the 147.12

These are all
three (3) both formal & informal nets,
for the
purpose of passing TRAFFIC & promoting amateur radio.
Both the "Pacemaker" and "440" nets are 'RAGCHEW' nets and
you are encouraged to hang around and at least say "Hello" at
the proper time (don't rag chew while checking in)
rather than when you check in,
while the ARES net is check in only.
Proper checkin
is, for example, is:
"Net Control, please check in W1AW, ARRL in Newington CT."
if staying for comments or just to say "Hello."
Or "Net Control,
please check in W1AW, ARRL in Newington CT. out after formal."
Extra comments should not be made since that is what "Informal" is for.
