June 27 & 28, 2009

We will be using a Special Event 1x1 call this time
W4C has been applied for. Plans are been made
for this to be a UNITED Gaston County event.
"Whiskey 4 Charlie for Western Carolina"

GCARS will again be located at Belmont Park.
The family Picnic for members, family and friends
will be held at approximately 6:00 PM

We will assemble EARLY Saturday morning
to raise antennas, put up the tower and
other necessary duties, including putting on
Boston Butts for the BBQ

The contest will start at 2:00 PM for us
and run 24 hours, ending at 2 PM Sunday.

Sunday we will need BODIES to tear down
load up the trailer and head home.

Come hungry and ready to transmit!

The one chance for Tech's to use
Extra class priveliges! (As long as an Extra
is sitting near enough to be control operator.)

We will operate 3A-NC using N4GAS call sign.

We will also have digital modes running and a
GOTA station so non-hams can try it out.
