Saturday Breakfast -
Members of the 'Breakfast Group' take turns selecting a meeting
place for Saturday breakfast at 8:30 AM each Saturday of the month.
On the 2nd Saturday they meet at the Masonic Lodge on South College St.
in Dallas for a "Scholarship Breakfast" for a local high school student's
four years in college.
- Fox Hunts

Joint fox hunts are held each month with the Shelby ARS of
Cleveland County.
On alternate months each club plays host and provides the "Fox" for the day.
- ARRL Field Day

GCARS takes part in the ARRL Field Day contest each year combined
with
a combined "Family Day" and picnic each year in June.
"Field Day" is an ARRL sponsored contest to practice operating under
emergency conditions using emergency power and other equipment. All ARES
and other emergency groups run for a 24 hour period.

GCARS holds two informal nets each week.
